School Consultancy

Move beyond one-off professional development. Build practice that lasts.

High Impact Classrooms partners with schools to turn improvement priorities into clear, consistent and sustainable classroom practice. Every consultancy partnership is tailored to your school context — bringing together assessment literacy, explicit reading and writing instruction, and purposeful engagement to strengthen what teaching and learning looks like across classrooms.

Because meaningful school improvement isn’t about adding more. It’s about creating greater clarity, alignment and consistency around the practices that make the greatest difference.

FROM INTENT TO IMPACT

Schools are investing significant time in curriculum, assessment and professional learning — but the challenge is ensuring that this work translates into what students actually experience in classrooms.

High Impact Classrooms works alongside school leaders and teaching teams to bridge that gap. Together, we develop practical systems, shared language, instructional routines and classroom artefacts that help teachers translate school priorities into visible, actionable practice.

HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOUR SCHOOL

1. Assessment Literacy

Strengthen shared understanding of quality, expectations and judgement through achievement standards, marking guides, differentiated success criteria, A exemplars, proficiency scales, learning walls and structured learning walks.

2. Reading & Writing Within the Curriculum

Build explicit and consistent literacy practices across learning areas through mentor texts, reading and writing routines, Tier 2 and Tier 3 vocabulary instruction, modelling and aligned approaches that support transfer between classrooms.

3. Engagement That Moves Learning

Design learning experiences that increase purposeful movement, discussion, collaboration and cognitive engagement. Explore purposeful gamification, transformation lessons and high-impact instructional routines — ensuring engagement strengthens learning rather than distracting from it.

A CONSULTANCY MODEL BUILT AROUND YOUR SCHOOL

Every partnership begins with your context using a four-phase model.

Phase 1: Illuminate
We work with school leaders to understand your curriculum and assessment priorities, literacy and engagement needs, staff capability, workload considerations and existing improvement agenda.

Phase 2: Design
We work alongside key leaders and staff to identify priorities, co-design practices and develop the shared language, routines and artefacts required for implementation.

Phase 3: Deliver
Support moves into practice through a combination of professional learning, collaborative planning, resource development, instructional coaching, modelling and co-teaching.

Phase 4: Embed
The focus shifts from implementation to sustainability — strengthening internal capability, consistency and leadership so practices continue beyond the consultancy partnership.

WHAT DOES A PARTNERSHIP LOOK LIKE?

There is no one-size-fits-all consultancy package. Schools can engage High Impact Classrooms for a targeted improvement priority or build an ongoing partnership across a term, semester or year. Support may include whole-school or faculty professional learning, leadership consultation, instructional coaching, in-class modelling, collaborative planning, resource development, lesson and unit transformation, or strategic implementation support.

Every engagement is co-designed with school leaders and aligned to the school's context, improvement priorities, staff capability and student needs.

READY TO MOVE FROM INTENT TO IMPACT?

Let’s design a consultancy partnership around your school. Tell me a little about your school, your current priorities and what you are hoping to achieve. From there, we can discuss what support could look like and develop a tailored proposal.
